Darrell Pursiful has compiled a really helpful list of online resources for the study of ancient personal names. It includes Sumerian, Akkadian, Hebrew, even Thracian! Check it out.

The list is missing a few important resources. For Akkadian, one could add Stamm’s old but still useful Die akkadische Namengebung from (I think) 1938. One could add Hess’ Amarna Personal Names, which I think is on Google Books.
For Amorite, one could add Gelb’s Computer Aided Analysis of Amorite.
For Sumerian, the key book is still Limet’s L’anthroponymie sumérienne dans les documents de la 3e Dynastie d’Ur.
Hi Lance, thanks for the additions. By the way, your dissertation was really helpful for my dissertation work. Glad to see that you are at UCLA now. Best wishes.
Thanks, Charles. As I think I noted elsewhere, Id’ be delighted to see your dissertation and what you’ve uncovered. Feel free to shoot me an email.
