On iTunes U Emory University has a workshop on academic publishing that is available for free download (you will need iTunes in order for the link to work). Some of the sessions include: How to Publish in a Top Journal, How Should Authors Think of Authorship and Research?, Editorial Strategies and Refereeing, and The Use of Journal Rankings in the Selection of Publication Outlets. Does anyone know a way to get at this material without in stalling iTunes? I did that once and like some other proprietary software full of bloat it took over my computer in ways I found undesirable, so I removed it and do not intend to repeat the experience. So if anyone knows a lighter simpler way to access this I’d be grateful… There is not an online index for example?

Sorry, Emory does not maintain an online index of our materials. The newest version of iTunes is streamlined and easier to use. I’ve had no reported problems. You may install iTunes U to retrieve this material. Free on a Mac and PC. Thank you.
